Online applications are invited for the post of Medical Officer (Short Service Commission) in the Armed Forces Medical Services from Indian citizens both male and female, who have passed their final MBBS (Part-I & II) examination in not more than two attempts and have appeared in the NEET PG examination (anytime during the last two years i.e 2023 & 2024). Civilian doctors having a Post Graduate degree will not be required to appear in
the NEET PG examination again. Marks obtained by them in NEET PG examination earlier will be taken into consideration.

Education Qualifications
The applicant must possess a medical qualification under the National Medical Council Act, 2019. The applicant must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/NMC/MCI. Postgraduate degree holders recognised by the State Medical
Council /NBEINMC can also apply.
Selection Process
(a) SHORTLISTING OF CANDIDATES FOR INTERVIEW Applications
completed in all respects will be further scrutinized/ filtered on the basis of NEET PG entrance examination marks/ percentile. Percentile of the candidates will be proportionately converted into “calculated NEET PG marks” to the tune of 200. For the purpose of obtaining a score out of 200, the percentile score will be treated as marks obtained by the candidate out of 100 and the percentile score will be multiplied by two and the result rounded off to the second decimal and a list will be prepared. In case of those candidates, whose results were declared in absolute score, the percentile score of the candidate will be calculated on the basis of his/her merit position in that exam and the same will be converted into “calculated NEET PG marks” to the tune of 200 as
explained above. Candidates will be called up for interview in the order of the list (separate lists for male and female candidates) based upon calculated NEET PG marks upto 08 times of the number of vacancies to appear for viva-voce/ interview.

(b) INTERVIEW

Eligible candidates will be called for interview by a Board of Officers in the month of Jun 2025 at the Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt to assess their suitability and merit for grant of Short Service Commission in the Armed Forces Medical Services. Candidates appearing for interview for the first time will be paid to and fro AC Ill/ AC Chair Car fare for journey performed by rail or Govt Non-AC Bus fare for journey performed by road from the normal place of residence to place of interview. In case a candidate is residing in the municipal limit of place of interview no travelling allowance is admissible.

(c) PHYSICAL & MEDICAL STANDARDS

Every candidate on qualifying in the interview will have to attend the Special Medical Examination Board (SMB) constituted by the DGAFMS for examining his/ her medical fitness as per laid down standards. The proceedings will remain confidential. However, candidates declared ‘UNFlT’ by the Special Medical Board (SMB) may apply for the Appeal Medical Board (AMB). The procedure for AMB will be explained by the President of the Special Medical Board.

Candidates are advised to note that DGAFMS/ DG-1A has no role to play in Appeal Medical Boards (AMB) and the procedure advised by the medical authorities is strictly to be adhered to. The Candidates declared ‘UNFlT’ by the AMB may apply for the Review Medical Board (RMB). However, Review Medical Board (RMB) will be granted at the discretion of the DGAFMS based on the merits of the case. No representation in this regard will be entertained. Candidates will be considered medically ‘FIT’ only on receipt of approved medical documents.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR STRICT COMPLIANCE
(a) The following Essential Certificates/ documents should be scanned and verification at the time of interview:-

(i) Passport Size Photograph (not older than 06 months) (peg, Size-up to 100kb)
(ii) Scanned copy of class X (Matriculation) Certificate/Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation as a proof of date of birth (if in English language) (pdf, size-upto 200kb)
(iii) A scanned copy of Final MBBS Part- I & Il attempt certificate
(iv) A scanned copy of Internship completion certificate
(v) A scanned copy of NEET PG entrance exam score card
(vi) A scanned copy of PG Degree certificate, if any
(vii) Aadhar Card
The following original documents are essentially required to be produced for

(i) Matriculation Certificate (Class X)/Birth Certificate issued by Municipal
Corporation as a proof of name and date of birth (if in English)
(ii) Aadhar Card
(iii) Permanent Medical Registration Certificate
(iv) Internship Completion Certificate

(vi)Final MBBS (Pt I & I) Attempt Certificate or Transcript Certificate

(viii)No Objection Certifcate from present employer, if any
